Ravens Report-Week 3

Ravens Report

The Ravens beat the Jets last Sunday, 20-13. Both backup QB’s started (Ravens QB Kyle Boller, Jets QB Kellen Clemens) for both teams. The first points of the game were a 2-yard pass from Ravens QB Kyle Boller to RB Willis McGahee for a TD. Late in the 2nd quarter with the score 10-3 and the Ravens in the lead, Boller threw a TD pass to Todd Heap to give the Ravens a 17-3 lead at the half. With 3:12 left in the 4th quarter, and the score now 20-6, Kellen Clemens threw a TD pass to Jets WR Chris Baker to make the score 20-13. After the Jets Defense forced the Ravens to a 3-and-out, the Jets had a chance to tie up the game with less than 2 minutes left in regulation. After a dropped pass in the end zone by Jets WR Justin McCareins, Kellen Clemens threw an INT to Ravens LB Ray Lewis to end the game.

Next Sunday the Ravens will face the Cardinals at home. Last week the Cardinals upset the Seahawks with a close victory. This game should be a nice challenge for the Ravens. The Ravens are going to have to give it their all if they want to win. The Cardinals have a pretty well balanced team with QB Matt Leinart, RB Edgerrin James, TE Leonard Pope and WRs Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. They really only have problems on defense, so the Ravens have to take advantage of that. I expect that the Ravens win a nail-biter.

Thanks for the good, tight wrap-up of the game. Also for the updated injury report (always go to Max for information you can use!). I'd like more critical comments, though, on problem areas the team needs to address, like the secondary (what secondary; maybe they should be called the tertiary!). Also, is there any chance you can post your Reports from weeks 1 and 2? I look forward to the next report, and thanks again.
