Ravens Report
Last week the Ravens won a nail-biter against the Cardinals, 26-23. This improves the Ravens record to 2-1. The Ravens got on the board first with a 21-yard field goal by K Matt Stover. Then in the 2nd quarter, Matt Stover hit a 28-yard field goal (the field goal puts him into 5th place on the NFL’s all-time scoring list with 1,737). Then the Cardinals got on the board with a 48-yard field goal from K Neil Rackers. The Ravens then scored a touchdown on a 13-yard pass from QB Steve McNair to WR Derrick Mason. After a 75-yard return for a touchdown by Yamon Figurs the score at halftime was Ravens 20, Cardinals 3. After two field goals by both kickers the score at the end of 3 quarters was Ravens 23, Cardinals 6. That’s when the Cards got going. I have a friend with a weak heart and he's afraid to watch any more Ravens games. The final two minutes could kill him! We've got to get past this "winning on luck"; 'cause let's be honest: it was luck. Now on the plus side, two things: I LOVE McGehee. I mean I wanna marry him. How many yards does he get after the first tackle attempt? That's a stat I'd like to see. And the second thing: I LOVE the specials team. I mean I wanna marry them all. Every week, no matter who's injured, somebody seems to step up. This time it was Figurs. Go figure. And GO RAVENS.
